PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability by simplifying segment assembling work in a segment, an erector device, and a segment retaining method. SOLUTION: An excavator body 12 rotationally supports a turning ring 15 along a tunnel circumferential direction, the turning ring 15 movably supports a raising/lowering mount 17 along the tunnel diametrical direction, and the raising lowering mount 17 is connected with a segment support 28 via a rotary cylinder 27, and a suspension metal fitting 34 via a retainer jack 33. The segment S is formed with a recess part 51 in the central part in its inner circumferential surface and the recess part 51 is formed with a T-shaped lock part 52 and a suspension metal fitting insertion part 53.
