ROTARY COMPRESSOR FOR VARIABLE COMPRESSION CAPACITY

PURPOSE: A rotary compressor is provided to realize compression both in clockwise/counterclockwise rotation and obtain different compression capacities according to the rotation direction. CONSTITUTION: A rotary compressor includes a suction plenum communicated with suction ports(27a-27c) to preliminarily store fluid, and compression mechanism for forming compression spaces(29a,29b) of different size in a fluid chamber(29) according to rotation direction of a driving shaft. The compression mechanism includes a valve assembly for rotating in the rotation direction of the driving shaft and selectively opening one of the suction ports apart from each other. The compression mechanism compresses the fluid by using the fluid chamber entirely or partially according to the rotation direction of the driving shaft.
