<p>The procedure consists of installing 55W ultraviolet lamps at intervals through holes made in the air duct, with two lamps in each 1500 mm section after a fire-break shutter. The holes are covered with self-adhesive foam seals and metal plates held in place by rivets or selftapping screws, and the lamps are connected up to a panel with a timer. From time to time, e.g. twice a year, the duct is cleaned with a low-pressure vaporized solution of H2O2-H3PO4-AgNO3, which leaves only water and oxygen in the air after use.</p> |
