PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interferon alpha/beta binding protein, a DNA molecule encoding the same, and a method for producing the protein, and a pharmaceutical composition containing them, antibodies against them, a replicable expression vehicle capable of expressing them and to provide a host cell transformed by the vehicle. SOLUTION: This invention relates to the IFNα/βbinding protein selected from IFNAB-BPI, IFNAB-BPII, precursors thereof, fusion protein or mucin form of IFNAB-BP I and IFNAB-BP II, functional derivative thereof or active fraction thereof, or salts of the binding protein, and the DNA molecule encoding thereof and the method for producing thereof and pharmaceutical composition containing thereof and antibodies against the proteins, the replicable expression vehicle expressing thereof and to provide the host cell transformed by the vehicle.
