PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator device which can materialize the positional retention of a moving member in compact and simple constitution and besides with low power consumption, by having a motor function, a retarder function, and a common magnetic path at the same time. SOLUTION: An actuator 1 is equipped with a moving member 3 for a motor which works by the cooperation with a stator, a moving member 27 for a retarder which is coupled with the moving member 3 for this motor and works by the cooperation with the above stator, and a controller which controls them. A coupling 29 performs the coupling between the moving member 3 for the above motor and the moving member for a retarder. On the other hand, the first coil 23 and the second coil 25 are arranged in the above stator. It is constituted so that magnetic flux may be offset in the common magnetic path ER, when a current is applied to the above first coil 23 and the above second coil 25. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
