PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium for improving optical characteristics, in particular, a contrast ratio in the display medium having a memory property. SOLUTION: The display medium having a constituent layer including at least one layer of liquid crystal layers containing a liquid crystal composition diffused in a base material and a binder contains at least one selected from among the following (a)-(e) in at least one layer of the constituent layers. (a) Alumina particles, (b) a stratified inorganic compound, (c) an azomethine coloring matter compound denoted by general formula (D), (d) a fluorescent bleaching agent, and (e) an ultraviolet absorber.
