PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user-friendly battery terminal and a battery socket which are no obstacle for miniaturization and do not cause a big cost increase and can prevent a wrong fitting of a battery. SOLUTION: The battery terminal T is composed of a concave shaped insulative member Ti and a surface having a concave portion or a recess portion is used to face and contact with an electrode of a dry cell C. The insulative member Ti is provided with a positive pole contact point Tp in a central portion of the above recess portion and a negative pole contact point Tm on an outer circumferential portion of the recess portion. Then, the positive pole contact point Tp and the negative pole contact point Tm are connected with conductive lines Pl and Ml respectively and are insulated from each other. Two of the above battery terminals T are provided in a battery socket, and the positive pole contact points Tp of both of the battery terminals T are connected with plus output terminals by a conductive line Pl, and likewise, the negative pole contact points Tm are connected with minus output terminals by a conductive line Pm.
