FIELD: physics; communication. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus for group communication through SMS message exchange and several SMS message based commands. The system and method use mobile or cellular telephones, smart phones and/or pocket computers having SMS message functions. Communication within a group of users takes place partially by creating a text message and sending it to at least one communication server using at least one shared access number. The communication sever analyses the message and determines the recipient group, and sends the message to members of the group in real or virtually in real time.
