<p>PURPOSE:To improve the load factor of an induction heater controller by operating a frequency calculating circuit and a power-factor control circuit with the detection signals from a power fequency detecting circuit and a load impedance detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:This induction heater controller consists of a power supply 9 enabling to externally set its frequency, an induction heater 11 connected to the load of the power supply 9, and a power-factor improving capacitor 10. The present power output frequency f and load impedaces Rf and Xf are detected by a frequency detecting circuit 12 and an impendance calculating circuit 13. The frequency of for setting the rated value Ro from the load impedance Rf is calculated by a frequency calculating circuit. If the frequency of is produced from the power supply 9, the load resistance Rf becomes rated value Ro to thus improve the load factor with the rated power. The power factor is detected by a power-factor control circuit 14 after setting the frequency of to thereby set the capacity of the capacitor 10.</p> |
