PURPOSE:To reduce consumption of auxiliary fuel such as heavy oil and thus lower the running cost of a fluidized bed combustion furnace, by introducing sludge having a low calorific value and city refuse nine times as much as the sludge simultaneously into the fluidized bed type combustion furnace, and combusting them while augmenting the quantity of heat required for the combustion. CONSTITUTION:Sludge 14 discharged from sewage treatment plant or the like and city refuse 15 nine times as much as the sludge 14 are put simultaneously into fluidized bed type combustion furnace 1 from its inlet port 5 provided in an upper side face of the furnace body 2. When the furnace 1 is set into operation, fluidized bed R of heated fluidic medium is formed upwardly of fluidized-gas supplying means 6 which is disposed at a lower portion in the furnace body 2. Material M to be combusted is combusted in this fluidized bed R. After completion of combustion, combustion gas is discharged from gas discharging port 3 provided at the top of furnace 2, whereas fluidic medium, residue of combustion, etc. are carried by screw conveyor 8 and discharged to the outside from outlet port 9. |
