<p>A drive control for an ultrasonic scanner has the scanner head (2) rotating at the focus of a parabolic reflector (1) with one or more transducers (5,4) spaced around the head. The head rotates in one direction for one mode of scanning or oscillates for a sweep scan. The head drive is operated by a signal generator which is linked to the imaging control. The process control provides real time video images on a CRT so that different modes of diagnosis can be obtained using a simple drive.</p> |
