1. An electric shaver comprising:
a housing having at least one engaging element, a pivot lever, and a switch element disposed on the housing; a shaving head pivotably connected to the housing, the shaving head having at least one cutting system and a plurality of apertures formed along a bottom of the shaving head; the at least one engaging element constructed to engage one of the plurality of apertures; the pivot lever having a first end and a second end, the second end connected to the at least one engaging element; and the switch element connected to the first end of the pivot lever, the switch element constructed to move in at least a first position and a second position, wherein when the switch element is moved to the first position it moves the at least one engaging element into one of the plurality of apertures, locking the shaving head into a fixed position relative to the housing; and wherein when the switch element is moved to the second position it moves the at least one engaging element from one of the plurality of apertures, thus permitting the shaving head to pivot relative to the housing.
