PURPOSE:To improve the dewatering faculty for watery slurry etc., by installing an oppositely rotating auxiliary screw within a section of dewatering-separating zone of a biaxial extruding machine engaged rotably in the same direction and preparing blocks for generating pressure at the discharging side. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary screw 6 is engaged with either of dewatering screws 3, 4 in dewatering-separating zone 5 of an extruding machine 1 and rotated in a reversed direction of screws 3, 4. When watery slurry or clam is charged in the dewatering-separating zone of the machine, the flow is checked by blocks 7, 8 provided at an end of the discharging side for generating an internal pressure and then, the grooves of screws are filled up with slurry. Consequently, the slurry is continuously pressed in the clearance between screws 4, 6 reversely rotating to each other and extruded to the leaving side of rotations of screws 4, 6. Water contained in the slurry is squeezed out with a large pressing force applied and the dewatered slurry is then transferred downstream from the dewatering-separating zone 5. |
