Ceramic recuperator, comprising channels which extend vertically and horizontally for the separate guidance of the heat exchange media, the channels being formed by profiled bricks assembled vertically and horizontally via tongues and grooves. One side of the profiled bricks forms half of a straight, horizontal channel whereas the opposite side forms half of a straight vertical channel, and the bricks are joined together in superimposed horizontal layers, the identical halves of the bricks mating togethers. The bricks are pref. provided with mating tongues and grooves which surround the channel sections. The bricks possess a shape which simplifies the construction of the recuperator and improves its yield, and the bricks can be made without any mfg. problems. |
