PURPOSE:To color chewing gum in dark color without causing the run-off of pigment, by dispersing the pigment together with gluten in the chewing gum base. CONSTITUTION:An aluminum lake pigment and gluten are dispersed in a chewing gum base. The amounts of the pigment and gluten are 0.1-5wt% of the base and 3 times weight of the pigment, respectively. The chewing gum prepared thereby has dark color and is hygienic because there is not run-off of the pigment during chewing. Since the chewing gum base remaining after chewing has dark color same as the base before chewing, a dark colored fascinating chewing gum balloon can be obtained by blowing the gum base. |
