PURPOSE:To elevate sensitivity to light in an IR region, to use a nontoxic material, and to give durability by forming an electrostatic charge generating layer of an org. thin film made of a titanyl phthalocyanine compd. and at least one kind of a shifting agent on a conductive substrate, and laminating a charge transfer layer on it. CONSTITUTION:A titanyl phthalocyanine compd. means the complex of phthalocyanine contg. O and Ti metal. A shifting agent is selected from a group consisting of benzophenone derivs., benzyl derivs., dibenzylketone derivs., and diphenyl derivs., and derivs. of benzene, naphthalene, acenaphthene, and acenaphthylene substd. by one nitro, cyano, acetyl, or aldehyde group, such as a compd. of formulae [ I ]-[IV]. The thin film of said titanyl phthalocyanine compd. is formed by using the vapor deposition and spin coating methods. |
