PURPOSE:To measure accurate heat loss by a simple device nearly on practical use condition by providing an adapter which incorporates a temperature detecting element or heater at the entrance and exit of a transport pipe to be measured, and calculating the heat loss from the temperature rise of vaporized gas. CONSTITUTION:The adapter 22 provided to the entrance-side plug 21 of the transport pipe 20 cinsists of an internal pipe 23, external pipe 24, and vacuum space 25 as well as that of the transport pipe 20, and a temperature detecting element 26 and a heater 27 are installed. The other end of the adapter 22 is inserted into liquefied 332 and sealed with a seal 33. A refrigerant 34 is vaporized by a heater 35 and supplied to the adapter 22 (11) to measure its temperature T1, and then it is passed through the transport pipe 20 (12) to measure temperature T0 by the exit-side adapter 13 similar to that at the entrance side, thereby the mass flow rate (m) through a heater 14. The entry heat Q is calculated accurately from Q=mCp(T0-T1), where Cp is specific gas heat. |
