PURPOSE:To bend a long-sized member to a desired curve and to reduce the allowance for scrap by providing a die and a punch of special structure that hole the long-sized member in a device that makes axial bending of the long-sized member bent to deformed sectional form. CONSTITUTION:The press bending device for manufacturing a door sash for vehicle is provided with a die 1 and opposing vertically movable punch 2. Whole the length of these is divided longitudinally into two, and one side 1a, 2a is bearing-connected to another side 1b, 2b to allow rolling oscillation, and supported respectively by springs 13, 17 from the direction of rolling. Opposite faces of one side 1a, 2a are formed to slanted faces 1c, 2c corresponding to the desired curvature of a long-sized member S bent beforehand to deformed sectional form. In bending work, when the member S is placed on the die 1 and the punch 2 is lowered, a fitting face 2' accepts the member S and fits to the die 1, and at the same time, a cam plate 19 presses a pin 15 and rolls and shifts the die 1a. Thus, the punch 2 is also rolled and shifted and the axial part of the member S held between them can be bent in horizontal direction. |
