A retractable wiper apparatus is disclosed in which two cam members are mounted about a drive shaft, the cam members serving to retain a detent in a locked position during rotation of the drive shaft in the forward direction and during the wiping operation. Upon reversal of the drive shaft rotational movement, the detent is released by the cam members and the wiper is placed in a retracted position. |
