PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine in which a punch is hard to be broken and a method for manufacturing a pressed article.SOLUTION: According to a press machine 10, a cylindrical work-piece 91 is pressed into a die hole 30A by an assist tool 23 which has a punch insertion hole 24 in which a punch 20 can be inserted and which linearly moves with respect to the punch 20. Since the punch 20 is inserted in the cylindrical work-piece 91 in the state that the work-piece is inserted in the die hole 30A, the punch is hard to receive a load compared with a conventional one, and breakage of the punch 20 can be prevented. Further, since the punch 20 is inserted in the cylindrical work-piece 91 in the state that the cylindrical work-piece 91 is centered in the die hole 30A, situation such that the punch 20 collides with a top face of the cylindrical work-piece 91 is also prevented, and also in this respect, breakage of the punch 20 can be prevented. Consequently, the punch 20 is hard to be broken according to the present invention.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
