The invention relates to a device for measuring ultrasonic amplitudes which are generated by an electromechanical resonance transducer which operates in the longitudinal vibration mode, and which are transmitted via a working tool into the effective medium or to the effective location. Typical fields of application are wherever an exact indication and evaluation of ultrasonic amplitudes is required, for example in ultrasonic disintegration in biotechnology and in industrial ultrasonic processes (for example plastic welding). The object consists in developing a device for measuring ultrasonic amplitudes which enables an accurate, contactless measurement and monitoring of the ultrasonic amplitude which is non-reactive and safe against overload, especially in the case of different loadings of the working tool and in the case of aging of the active part of the ultrasonic transducer. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the longitudinal oscillations of the transudcer effect a periodic alteration of the resonant loop frequency of a RF-oscillator by means of a ring-shaped coil (coupling loop). The electrical alternating voltage produced is related to the actual ultrasonic amplitude occurring at the tip of the working tool.
