The invention relates to a camshaft regulator meant for an internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the regulator comprises a driving gear (4) indirectly anti-rotationally connectable, by traction means (3), to a crankshaft (1), gear (4) which is connected, with rotation possibility, by a mechanical regulation mechanism (5), to a camshaft (2), the regulation mechanism (5) having multiple weight elements (6a and 6b), pre-tensioned each by a spring element (7a and 7b), and which, at a limit rotary speed, may be radially deviated towards the exterior, due to a centrifugal force acting thereon, in order to modify the phase relation between the crankshaft (1) and the camshaft (2), the regulation mechanism (5) comprising a first element (8) indirectly anti-rotationally connected to the driving gear (4), and a second element (9) indirectly anti-rotationally connected to the camshaft (2), where, several planetary wheels (10a and 10b) are radially arranged between the two elements (8 and 9) and achieve a relative rotation between the driving gear (4) and the camshaft (2), engaging with a toothing (11a, 11b and 12a, 12b) on the first element (8) and on the second element (9), respectively. |
