PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antimicrobial material exhibiting stable antibacterial, antifungal and membrane-containing virus-static effects. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial material comprises a powder containing at least titanium dioxide and a thiosulfatosilver complex. The antimicrobial material preferably comprises, for example, a mixture of both the components, titanium dioxide powder carrying the thiosulfatosilver complex, or the mixture of titanium dioxide powder with an adsorbent adsorbing the thiosulfatosilver complex.
