PURPOSE: A device for converting channels of a TV set is provided, so that a viewer can watch consecutive broadcasting programs without directly changing channels, when a broadcasting program is automatically converted into a received channel by deciding the broadcasting program, which the viewer wants to consecutively watch, by storing data of one frame and channel data among title screens of the broadcasting programs to a memory. CONSTITUTION: A device for converting channels of a TV set having a main channel tuner(2), a sub channel tuner(6) and a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) comprises a frame detector(16), a storage unit(17), a comparator, and a controller. The frame detector detects one frame of a title screen in a broadcasting program, replayed according to a frame selection signal supplied while the broadcasting program for the one channel is replayed to the CRT, through the main channel tuner. The storage unit stores data of the detected one frame and channel data corresponding to the broadcasting program. The comparator compares each frame data of the broadcasting program, received to a selected channel when the sub channel tuner is selected as the same channel with the stored channel data according to one selection signal, with the stored frame data one frame by one frame. The controller supplies a frame selection signal to the frame detector, converts the sub channel tuner into the same channel with the stored channel data, when a setup signal for consecutive televiewing is inputted, and supplies a tuning control signal to the main channel tuner so that a currently selected channel can be tuned as a channel stored in a memory, when the frame data is the same along as the compared result.
