PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow plural persons to substantially simultaneously recognize plural time-divided sharp stereoscopic picture by selectively and visually recognizing plural pictures for a left and pictures for a right eye by spectacles with plural liquid-crystal shutters whose polarizing states are different. SOLUTION: The first picture L1 for a left eye provided from the first video source 12, the first picture R1 for a right eye provided from the first video source 12, the second picture L2 for the left eye provided from the second video source 14 and the second picture R2 for the right eye provided from the second video source 14 are successively displayed on a scanning type video output means 22. Or else, a driving circuit 20 displays them on the means 22 in an order of L1, L2, R1 and R2. The circuit 20 simultaneously on/off-drives first and second spectacles 24 and 26 with liquid crystal shutters while synchronizing with picture display, to recognize stereoscopic pictures for two channels.
