The air coming into the housing (1) is taken from a fresh air intake pipe or the engine chamber, dependent upon the amount of moisture contained in the fresh air. A constructional part (3) is associated with the fresh air intake (2), which consists of a material with a number of passages. When dry the material has a small volume and is air-permeable, but increases in volume and becomes air-impermeable, when subjected to moisture.
