PURPOSE: Provided are hypocaust which retains high strength and has improved durability, and a method for producing and constructing the hypocaust. CONSTITUTION: The hypocaust is produced by the steps of (i) blending pure loess(which is impurity-removed) and water in approximately 8:2; (ii) mixing the blended materials in rotating screw; (iii) compressing the mixed material so as to reduce its volume and increase its density; (iv) extruding the compressed material outward; (v) cutting the extruded material to predetermined size; and (vi) air drying the cut loess brick for 72-96 hours.
