PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decompression device for an engine which is capable of improving productivity of a cam shaft. SOLUTION: Each stopper 47 is protruded in each front side of a direction, where each decompression lever 33 is rotated with centrifugal force by each push-press piece 42 in the decompression lever 33. Each disk shaped protrusion part, having a diameter larger than that of an attaching part of the decompression lever 33, is formed on each side opposite to a cam in the cam shaft holding the decompression lever 33. Each positioning surface for restricting rotation of the decompression lever 33 by abutting on the stopper 47, and a cutout for storing each centrifugal weight 44 are formed on each disk-shaped protrusion part.
