PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve capable of suppressing the drifting of fuel caused by the impact noise and bounce of a valve element at the time of valve closing while maintaining a control responsiveness at the time of valve opening. SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve comprises a nozzle body 61 having a fuel injection hole 61a for injecting fuel and allowing the fuel to be supplied therein, a valve element 62 movably inserted into the nozzle body 61 and opening and closing the fuel injection hole 61a, and a resistance part 65 provided in the valve element 62 so as to receive a resistance from the fuel inside the nozzle body 61 when the valve element 62 is moved to open and close the fuel injection hole 61a. When the valve element 62 is moved in the direction of closing the fuel injection hole 61a, a resistance larger than that caused when the valve element 62 moves in the direction to open the fuel injection hole 61a is received by the resistance part 65.
