PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for a multicore (two core) optical fiber, a ferrule that eliminates the need of adjusting an angle between a plane perforated with holes for inserting a plurality (two) of capillaries and a plane arrayed with the fibers of the multicore (two core) optical fiber, and that enables the optical fibers to be efficiently accurately inserted into the holes for the multicore (two core) fibers. SOLUTION: Into a metallic sleeve (3) having a hole (h), elliptical in the cross section, into which the multicore (two core) optical fiber with optical fibers led out can be inserted and having an engaging part (j) in a part of the hole (h), a capillary (1') is force-fitted, which has a columnar main part, with a projection (1c) elliptical in the cross section installed at one end, and which has a plurality of (two) inserting holes (2, 2) for inserting the optical fibers put through in the hole (h), and thus, the ferrule (20) for multicor (two core) optical fiber is formed by joining the projection (1c) to the engaging part (j).
