PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new siphon type drain system. SOLUTION: An architectural drain system is composed of a vertical pipe penetrating through the respective floors, a plurality of horizontal drain pipes 6 derived from a water use section apparatus 5 of the respective floors, and a confluent part joint connecting the horizontal drain pipes to the vertical pipe, and arranged in a position lower than the horizontal drain pipes. This siphon type drain system has a water sealing trap 30 in the respective horizontal drain pipes, and has a joining part for mutually connecting the horizontal drain pipes 6 on the vertical pipe side from a part provided with the water sealing trap 30, and simultaneously generates a siphon phenomenon in the plurality of horizontal drain pipes at draining time by storing fluid once in the horizontal drain pipes.
