COLLOIDAL CRYSTAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a colloidal crystal having a three dimensional periodic structure which does not require a special container nor controls under complicated conditions and is quickly and simply manufactured and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In the colloidal crystal, the three dimensional periodic structure is formed by core-shell type particulates having a core section which is not soluble to water nor a hydrophilic solvent and a shell layer which is solvated to water or the hydrophilic solvent. Moreover, in the manufacturing method of the colloidal crystal, the core-shell type particulates having the core section which is not soluble to water nor the hydrophilic solvent and the shell layer which is solvated to water or the hydrophilic solvent are dispersed to water or the hydrophilic solvent to produce dispersion liquid and the water or the hydrophilic solvent is removed from the dispersion liquid.
