摘要 <p>PURPOSE: A method for reducing the light radiated through the edge of an optical device, a method for reducing the light radiated through the surface region on polished surface of an optical device where an adhesive is coated and an optical device are provided, to protect the adhesive used to maintain an optical device at proper position from the deterioration due to light by reducing the amount of the scattered light radiated through the optical device. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of coating an organoxy metallic compound on the edge of an optical device; and exposing the organoxy metallic compound to a UV ray to convert the organoxy metallic compound into the corresponding metal oxide, thereby protecting the adhesive used to maintain the optical device at a proper position from the deterioration due to light. Preferably the organoxy metallic compound is coated by using an optical applicator cloth; the thickness of coating is about 1 nm to about 200 micrometers; and the organoxy metallic compound is an organo-titanium compound.</p>
