PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder having an inkjet recording head capable of efficiently performing a recovery operation without leaving residual bubbles in a common liquid chamber in initial refilling of ink and in the recovery operation. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises the inkjet recording head having a recording element substrate on which a plurality of recording liquid ejection nozzles for ejecting a recording liquid to a recording material and a plurality of recording elements for applying kinetic energy to the recording liquid are provided, the common liquid chamber for supplying the recording liquid to the plurality of recording elements, and an ink supply hole for supplying the ink to the common liquid chamber. The inkjet recorder further comprises a recording liquid pressurizing means for pressurizing the recording liquid to allow it to flow into the ink supply hole. The inkjet recording head can take a first attitude for ejecting the recording liquid to the recording material or a second attitude for refilling the ink in the common liquid chamber.
