The invention pertains to the barking machines of logs, particularly to the rotors of debarkers wherein the barking tools are pivoted by hinges within the hollow rotating annular body of rotor. The log is traveled through the recess of annular rotor by help of draw-through equipment (log-moving facility). The barking tools are pressed to the log by the system of flexible self-aligning supports, which can be fastened to the barking tools in different ways. Every of said support is located behind the barking tool in respect of traffic direction of log, as well as is placed backwards in the radial direction of cutting edge of barking tool at a distance of 1 to 30 mm. In case of log's stop, when the cutting edge of barking tool cuts deeply into surface of log, said support rests against surface of log that has been debarked yet thus preventing the further cutting of barking tools into surface of log. Fig.2 shows two alternatives of barking tool without/with roll in the front end. Fig.4 shows side view of rotor provided with pneumo- or hydraulic control system of barking tools, as well as with spring supported backing system and control system of closing and spreading out of barking tools.
