In a device for emptying, into a container, vessels provided with support elements, such as lugs, projecting laterally, and with at least a support and locking lug also projecting laterally, particularly to empty refuse bins into a refuse collecting truck, the object is to improve and facilitate the discharge operation of such bins by a special arrangement of members receiving the lateral support and locking lugs, by an improved design of the receiving opening of the container and by an improvement of the opening mechanism of the cover thereof. It is desirable, in particular, that the vessel executes a much larger discharging motion while it is maintained precisely when it is held and tilted; the lid will be widely opened and the opening of the container will be provided with a discharge gut which receives the material coming out of the bin towards the end of the tiping motion and leads the material towards the inside of the container. A support lever (101) pivoting on the tiping arm allow to keep widely open, in the start position, the receiving member of the support and locking element, to close its partially during the tiping motion towards the top of the tiping arm carrying the bin, and to reopen it widely during the final tiping phase. This support lever (101) cooperates with a counter bracing (14) receiving the support and locking element (10) so as to enlarge the tiping angle of the bin (1). A reception gut (40) comprises an upper section (41) pivoting about a horizontal axis so as to position this section (41), during the final tiping phase, under or behind the opening edge of the bin. The opening mechanism of the lid is provided with push rods and rods provided as angle levers to increase the opening degree of the lid.
