PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing entrained gas from ink simply and inexpensively. SOLUTION: A membrane contactor 14 for debubbling liquid comprises a core tube 26 having pores 28 for distributing ink 22, a plurality of hollow fiber membranes 34 surrounding the tube and each having an end part, a tube sheet located on the end part and a shell surrounding the plurality of hollow fiber membranes and the tube sheet. A lumen side is defined by an internal surface of the membranes and a shell side is defined by the core tube having pores, the external surfaces of the membranes and the shell. The membrane is a polymethylpentene hollow fiber microporous membrane which is single-layered and has a skin, wherein the skin is formed on the shell side in order to secure the contact with ink.
