The emulsion may contain 1 to 20% wax, 1 to 20% emulsifier and optionally also polyphosphate and/or pyrophosphate in amount up to 6% and a chelating agent in amount up to 4%. The wax component exemplified is an esterification product of industrial montan wax acid and polyethylene glycol mol. wt. 10,000 and acid number 15; other materials are mentioned. The ionic emulsifier may be formed by reacting the wax with an amine or amino alcohol, or may be a potassium soap or an organic sulphate or sulphonate. The non-ionic emulsifier may be an oxyethylated fatty alcohol, fatty amine or alkyl phenol. |
