<p>Clear, injectable compn. comprising a mixture of:- (1) aq. soln. of a water-sol. salt of a sulphonamide, prefd. cpds. being: 5,6-dimethoxy-4-sulphanilamidopyrimidine; 3,4-dimethyl-5-sulphanilamidoisoxazole; 5-methyl-3,-sulphanilamidoisoxazole; 2,4-dimethoxy-6-sulphanilamidopyrimidine (A); 4,6-dimethyl-2-sulphanilamidopyrimidine; (2) soln. of a basic sulphonamide-potentiator in a suitable org. water-miscible solvent, prefd. cpds. (I) R1 = H, lower alkyl R2 = aryl 2,4-diamino-5-(3,4-dimethoxybenzyl)-pyrimidine -(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl)- -(3,4,6-trimethoxybenzyl)- -(3,4-dimethyl-6-methylbenzyl)- (B) -(4-chlorobenzyl)-6-ethylpyrimidine. Esp. useful in veterinary practice. Ensure correct propns. of sulphonamide and potentiator.</p> |
