PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wrong diagnosis of an abnormality diagnostic device for diagnosing fuel injection amount control to determine whether or not it has an abnormality by comparing fuel injection amount determined by a fuel injection amount control system with fuel injection amount determined by a fuel injection control monitoring system.SOLUTION: An abnormality diagnostic device diagnoses fuel injection amount control to determine whether or not it has an abnormality by comparing fuel injection amount determined by a fuel injection amount control system with fuel injection amount determined by a fuel injection control monitoring system. In the abnormality diagnostic device, a control system injection characteristic switching flag provided in the control system is switched on only when both of a control system completion condition determination flag and a monitoring system completion condition determination flag are turned on, and due to the switching, the control system calculates fuel injection amount targeted for a control mode after the switching. A monitoring system injection characteristic switching flag provided in the monitoring system is switched on only when both of the monitoring system completion condition determination flag and the control system injection characteristic switching flag are turned on, and due to the switching, the monitoring system calculates fuel injection amount targeted for a control mode after the switching.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
