The telescopic extendable shaft is used for handling a tool which is readily replaced on the holder inserted into this shaft inner pipe. The tool holder is reliably connected to the extendable tube of the telescopic handle. The pipe section which holds the tool has a shank (10) and an external preloaded leaf spring (20). This spring passes through a slot (23) in the pipe wall and engages with radial grooves (7) between the radial ribs on the inner pipe (2) of the shaft. The pipe section (9) has an internal threaded pin (11) and the inner plug has a tapped hole (6) for this pin. The inner pipe (2) of the shaft has radial ribs (28) which engage with flexible rubber jaws for clamping.
