<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hollow-structured optical fiber, which can manufacture the hollow-structured optical fiber having a high long-term reliability; and to provide a connector for pressure impression/reduction used for the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a hollow-structured optical fiber having a core part and a clad part formed on the outer periphery of the core part and having hollows includes a preform formation step of inserting a hollow-forming glass rod which has a region to become the core part and in which hollows to elongate in the longitudinal direction are formed, inside a clad-forming glass tube to form a part of the clad part, to thereby form a perform; and a draw step of heating the preform while the pressure in a gap formed between the hollow-forming glass rod and the clad-forming glass tube of the preform formed in the above is being reduced and a pressure in the hollows is being impressed, and drawing the hollow-structured optical fiber while the gap is being extinguished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
