<p>A container of fibre-reinforced matl. is mfd. by prepg. a mandrel of suitable, accurate shape; applying the fibres, together with the matrix matl. (e.g., by winding); and then completely removing (ablating) the mandrel, throughout its entire wall thickness, by (electro)chemical process. In order to protect the fibre-reinforced matl. composing the intended container, being corroded by the ablating medium a protective layer is applied onto the mandrel before applicn. of the matl.
