PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for air conditioner in which power saving and noise reduction are realized by increasing the air volume and the efficiency of a propeller fan. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit 30 for air conditioner comprises a heat exchanger 2 and a propeller fan 6 disposed in the housing 1 provided with a safety protective grill 20 comprising a radial crosspiece 8 and a concentric circular crosspiece 9. The safety protective grill 20 comprises the radial crosspiece 8 having a specified curvature in the cross-section, and the concentric circular crosspiece 9 arranged in zigzag in the radial direction of the propeller fan 6.
