PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electron emission source array reduced in a circuit scale of an electrode drive circuit; and an imaging apparatus and a display apparatus which have high resolution characteristics.SOLUTION: Gate electrodes of an electron emission source array are divided for each pixel to be connected to an electrode drive circuit, while each focusing electrode and each emitter electrode are connected to DC power sources, respectively. A pulse voltage is applied from the electrode drive circuit to the gate electrodes divided for each pixel, a potential difference is applied between the gate electrodes and the emitter electrodes to emit electrons, a potential difference is applied between the gate electrode and the focusing electrode and between gate electrons adjacent each other, and whereby electrostatic lenses are formed for each electron emission source and each pixel. In addition, an imaging apparatus and a display apparatus are constituted using the electron emission source array.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
