PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optically active mandelamide derivative. SOLUTION: This method for producing the optically active mandelamide derivative comprises a process of effecting a cultured material of a specific microorganism, a microbial cell body or its treated material on a specific phenylglyoxylamide derivative, and recovering the produced optically active specific mandelic acid derivative.
