发明名称 ORGANICCELECTROLYTE BATTERY
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance the high-temperature-storage characteristic of an organic- electrolyte battery whose negative active material is made of a light metal, by adding molybdenum trioxide to cupric-oxide active-material of the positive electrode of the battery. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode 5 is placed in a lower case 4; the lower case also serves as a positive terminal. A separator 7 is placed on the positive terminal. A negative electrode 3 made of lithium (a light metal) is subjected to pressure welding on a metallic collector 2 which is subjected to spot welding on an upper case 1. The upper case 1, which is filled with the lithium negative electrode 3, is placed in the space of the lower case 4 with a packing 8 interposed between the upper case 1 and the lower case 4, and the whole constitutes a hermetically sealed organic-electrolyte battery. The positive electrode 5 of such a battery is prepared from an active material of cupric oxide and an additional agent of molybdenum trioxide. Here, molybdenum trioxide is preferably added in a proportion of 1-7mol% of the cupric oxide. Furthermore, for example, graphite is added as a conductive material, and the resulting mixture is subjected to compression molding to make a disklike positive electrode 5.
