PURPOSE:To improve the linearity of deflection and the resolution by providing an electrode plate which is electrically insulated and is applied with a potential lower than the voltage applied to the effective scanning region in the circumference of the effective scanning region of the target screen. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film electrode 5 with its one end extended toward the periphery as an electrode terminal 5a is formed by being attached to the effective scanning region A on a transparent glass substrate 3, and the electrode terminal 5a is electrically connected to one end of a signal take out electrode 1 formed penetrating the transparent glass substrate 3. A surrounding electrode 7 separated by a gap 6 is formed by being attached to the outer circumference of the effective scanning region A. A potential lower than the voltage applied to the electrode 5 is applied to this surrounding electrode 7. |
