A bag, such as a backpack (100), is provided having first and second closure mechanisms ((124), (152)). The backpack (100) includes an opening (116) at the top end (104) of the bag (100), with the first and the second closure mechanisms ((124), (152)) configured to selectively secure and close the opening (116). The first closure mechanism (124) is configured to couple a front side (112) and a back side (114) of the backpack (100) at the top end (104) to partially close the opening (116) and form a first slot (126) and a second slot (128). The second closure mechanism (152) is configured to partially or completely secure the opening (116) by securing a first edge of the opening (116) to a second edge of the opening (116) to close each slot ((126), (128)). The second closure mechanism (152) includes a first and a second releasable fastener ((158), (160)) which may be zippers. The first and second slots ((126), (128)) are alignable with one or more interior sections to form first and second equipment storage compartments ((136), (138)) within the backpack (100). |
