PURPOSE:To reduce the size of the apparatus for the preparation of candy fluff, by winding a paper tape spirally around a shaft, rotating the shaft around its axis in the container of candy fluff to collect the candy fluff, and separating the paper tape from the shaft. CONSTITUTION:A paper tape 52 having a definite length is wound spirally around the shaft 20, and the shaft is rotated around its axis in the container of candy fluff. After collecting a definite amount of the candy fluff 60 on the paper tape 52 wound spirally around the shaft, the tape 52 attached with the candy fluff is separated from the shaft 20 by sliding the tape along the axial direction relative to the shaft 20. The separation can be carried out by clamping the spirally wound paper tape 52 with the electromagnetic clamps 16a and 16b, and pulling out the shaft.
